Episode 08 - “Back to School”

I start to feel wistful about my son starting 1st grade, answer a listener question, share a story about someone printing out this picture at my own school, explore day dreaming about food you have at home and then get two unexpected guests in Phil (@PhilthyThoughts) and Steve (@s__rod) after some technical difficulties.

Episode 07 - "The Beast and The Bodge"

Was great to have Mike Bodge (www.bod.ge) on the show this week. Just like with Ben I’m working out the kinks of having a guest. But we’re getting there. At a medium pace.  Lots of random bullshit talk, with a good chunk about the ‘Lympics. Show notes after the jump.

  • I must figure out a better way to record guest audio and mix with mine. Was a real pain. You can hear my breathing when Mike’s talking. But if I mute it, you hear that too. Work in progress, folks.
  • I thought I might have a guest on every other week, but might make it every two weeks.

  • God, I really need to cool it on ‘anyways.’
  • Love how you can hear Ben rap his fingers on the desk when we get personal.
  • I think I need to expect my shows with guests to run more like 45 mins. I had so much more I wanted to ask Ben. About therapy, about what happened, when he really fell out of love. He also has a great story where he got beat up by some idiots, fell, hit his head and almost died.
  • Man, I really just went for it. Right into some crazy personal stuff. I’ve been dying to talk to Ben about it, this is the first time we’ve talked since it happened. Don’t worry, if you’re ever on my show I won’t grill you.
  • Not sure Skype is going to work. The audio is ok, but a lot of times I tried to cut in on Ben to ask questions and I can tell he couldn’t hear me.
